Transmitter and curved perch are nicely chromed.

The rest is black . These are called Oil can telephone because the base is shaped like an old oil can. This is one of my favorite candlestick phones . The mouthpiece and receiver are bakelite .

This type of phone requires a subset ringer box and subset cord to work .
