BEAUTIFUL Mahogany AE40 Monophone made of Caitlin. It is not painted. Automatic Electric Company made these phones in color in the 1940s. They mainly made Black AE40s but 10 other colors were made. Colored AE40s are hard to find as not very many were made.
Mahogany as you know is a very hard color to find .Mahogany is my favorite AE40 color This one has a crack. I was going to try to repair it and airbrush it . I will never have the time I know.
This awesome telephone is fully working and functional. The24Kt gold finish is in very nice condition
The polished brass bells ring beautifully. Comes with braided extensi cord handset cord
