This 616W jack goes inside the cup of the G3 handsets which a modular jack plugs in. The jack plugs into the transmitter cup.
These handsets were found on 500 and 2500 telephones. Western Electric, Stromberg Carlson and ITT.

was getting static in the handset and thought the old handset plug was the problem. Not very skilled at working on small lines in tight spaces, but stayed with it and got in done in less than 30 min. Now the old phone works perfectly and the handset sounds like new. I was concerned about being able to do the job, but the folks at Old Phone assured me I could and the part would fit. They were right.
