Here is an original bakelite telephone made by Automatic Electric telephone. This is our latest 24KT Shiney GOLD model. It has been painstakenly  replated in the same 24Kt gold finish that Automatic Electric Telephone Co used in the 1930s and 40s. There are no cracks or chips in this beautiful working phone.

This partcular AE40 has 24KT gold plated solid brass bands and all  24Kt hardware including a gold pickup bar , finger wheel, card holder and 24Kt gold  finger stop. This is the shiny gold model

This telephone was special ordered this way in 1940. The 24KT Gold  is strikingly beautiful and is all new.  

Very few restorers replate all the brass.

This AE40 Monophone is better than new with matching black woven cloth cords.

It has a modular plug on the line cord so you will just plug it in and enjoy. This very elegant Art deco phone is very stylish with its curves.

The bakelite was buffed and polished and its dial calibrated. Virtually no wear to the dial or its porcelain dial plate.

The rubber base is brand new and is exactly like the original. Its soft and pliable and will not damage your furniture.

Inside the phone are 2 nice individually tuned brass bells that harmonize to deliver a wonderful nostalgic ring that has been since forgotten. Not like your cell phone of today.

This is a very reliable workhorse. And its beauty cannot be matched.
