This original desk stand telephone set including its matching f-602 ringer box subset was part of a series of Masterphones introduced in in 1930 by the Kellogg company. It is bakelite model No.700.
It was the first in a series of Masterphones with stylish lines from the Art deco period. There is a Deeply Embossed Kellogg emblem on the front of the deep black bakelite casing. We have keep the original felt bottom because its still in nice decent shape.
This is a complete telephone set with its original matching subset ringer box. Its F-602 ringer box rings in harmony beautifully with 2 newly nickeled brass bells. The ringer box casing has been bead blasted and powder coated. Powder coating is the most durable finish available
The model No. 700 are very rare especially with its original handset and continue to go up in value. This older style handset features the spit cup mouthpiece.
This telephone was also called the ashtray phone by many because of its pockets on each side it resembled an ashtray.
We have included matching brown woven cloth cords for both the handset and wall cord.
The wall cord has a modular plug, so all you have to do is plug it in and enjoy.
